Abstract:  Narrative text.  Tables and figures may be included provided the abstract stays under 3 pages.  Avoid using jargon and acronyms.  Consider including the following information in the abstract, when relevant:

• Background information
• Overview/analysis
• Description of methods, programs, or practices.
• Objective, problem under investigation, hypothesis or research goal
• Description of research methods
• Summary of findings and/or recommendations
• Statement of how the research/case study advances food security.
